Chitra Sen Actress

Chitra Sen is an actress and choreographer. She first began her career as a dancer, appearing in different theatre productions. She is also known for her roles in several films. Chitra has appeared in more than three hundred films and is an all time favorite of the Hindi film industry. Chitra has acted in some of the most popular and acclaimed films of India. Her roles have also won her many accolades. She began her career in films such as Kannan, Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron, Ushaanikanth and Baaghi in the seventies.

Chitra was born in the rural part of Bengal. Her mother was a dancer and was very supportive of her daughter's ambition to become an actor. As Chitra grew up, she decided to pursue a career in cinema as an actress. She auditioned a number of times for the small parts that were available.

When she was fifteen years old, Chitra went for a test for a Hindi film called "Sholay". She failed this audition and was not happy with herself. Chitra did not give up however and continued to train and work hard to improve her skills. She made up for it by winning a competition with another actor named Kamal Saxena. Chitra's first performance in a Hindi movie was in Kamal Saxena's film "Dhrangale". This film proved to be a breakthrough for Chitra as it helped her gain recognition as an actress.

Chitra has appeared in a number of Hindi and British films. Her best known films are Sholay, Rajneeti, Dhrangale, etc. She also acted in other films such as Gita Kunda, Mankatha, Kuchla, etc. She was also nominated for the best actress award at the Golden Triangle Film Festival (GERFF) for her role in Gita Kunda.

Chitra is also very popular in the Indian film industry. She is known to perform in various roles such as a heroine in a movie, a nurse, a secretary and an assistant, etc. She is also known to appear as the father in a number of films. She was also a member of the committee of the Bombay Film Festival in 1992.

Chitra's parents migrated to India from Bengal, where they had been originally employed by the Bengali theatre. She began her education in Bengaluru at the college of Bal Bhaskar. She then went on to attend the film school of Film Institute of India, Film and Television Institute of India.
